Secret Guest: We will be announcing one more traveling artist the morning of Nov 5th. Mum’s the word for now, however we cannot wait to see their visually compelling immersive and psychedelically driven live performance later in the evening.

United Wild BrewChampions of underground elixir United Wild Brew will be curating the bar with specialty cocktails and handcrafted brews. UWB is a local microbrewer operating exclusively in the DIY rave communities of Los Angeles, specializing in hard cider, kombucha, hydromel, mead and hard seltzer. Delicious non-alcoholic options will also be a part of the Wild Brew menu. They use locally sourced and seasonal ingredients when possible, ensuring your musical experience is paired with a delectable selection of one-of-a-kind beverages that will delight your senses and enhance your PrintShop journey.

A member of the PrintShop collective discovered our new favorite ear protection “Happy Ears” when they picked them up at Berlin’s Hard Wax record seller on a past trip. Since then, we normally try to keep a few spare pairs around for folks that need a little loudness protection without compromising the balance and fidelity of our soundsystem. Happy Ears hooked up a case of their Eco Friendly Ear Plugs, and you are welcome to snag a free pair at the bar alongside Fentynal test strips from the killer LA based org END OVERDOSE

Ticket sales help support the artist we work with, and all support is greatly appreciated, however we know that the door fee is challenging for some, and would like to ensure that no-one is turned away due to lack of funds. If an accommodation like this would be helpful please shoot us an email to PrintShopLosAngeles@Gmail.com

Please be aware of the experimental, inclusive, open-minded and safe environment we aim to foster at our events, If you notice any questionable or inappropriate behavior, please notify a crew member immediately.– PrintShop

You’ve learned the basics of DJing, so now what? In recognition of the inaccessibility of DJ equipment, Femsynthlab are partnering with PrintShop to host an open decks session, guided by local LA DJs agraybé, azize, DJ Jenny Girl, mo0dswings and Ms. Ed.

Sign up for a 20 minute slot on CDJ’s or vinyl (or one of each!) and come hone your skills or test out some new tips and tricks. Sign-up form for time slots will be sent after registration.

This event prioritizes all marginalized genders, including but not limited to trans women, cis women, trans men, non-binary, intersex, gender nonconforming, two-spirit and questioning folx. We ask that our cis male allies and friends respectfully do not sign up, as we recognize that electronic music is overwhelmingly dominated by cis men.

Meet your DJ lifeguards:

Azize Ngo (azize) is a tattooist, interdisciplinary artist, and DJ with a decade of experience spinning records. They’re keen on blending Anatolian house and funk grooves, Midwestern techno, and ambient soundscapes. Listen to their live set recordings and mix contributions for Noctuary, nascent attraction (formerly known as THEYRAVE), and carbon:file.

Ariana Gray Bé (agraybé) is a DJ, singer, dancer, and scientist living in Los Angeles, with roots in the Great Lakes region of the Midwest. Drawn to blending grooves grounded in Midwest techno and house with heady textures and lush sounds fit for natural landscapes on the West Coast, Ari strives to express equal parts mind and heart into her sets. Tune into Cloud Studies on Blast Radio and check out SoundCloud for mix contributions for New Palm, Acid Camp, and Kajunga Program.

LA based midwest raised DJ JennyGirl aka Leah brings warm and groove-forward electro, house and breaks to the spaces she performs in. Leah’s roots are in diy bike scenes, she is an active maker with a background in diy sound/speaker building and helper of the party arts – including being the sound-system backline support at many events- as much at home behind the cabling and amp racks of a party’s sound system as she is on the decks. Leah is also a cornerstone member in the PrintShop collective.

Ahva (mo0dswings) is a passionate storyteller who thrives in creative collaboration across multiple modalities. With a background in filmmaking, they are dedicated to tuning into the senses through sight and sound. Ahva’s artistic journey branches out across many realms, as they also explore the world of culinary arts as a plant-based chef, experimenting with flavors and textures, to create a sensorial experience.

Erika Dorfelt, DJ name Ms. Ed, is a Los Angeles-based DJ and rave cupcake. Born in the late 80’s, her music history begins with video game soundtracks and a heavy dose of 90’s radio hip hop, rap, and RnB. After a brief K-pop phase, her influences expanded to indie pop, rock, and folk music. Shortly after, the bloghaus era with its relentless remix culture would eventually lead to electronic dance music. These references cultivated a lifelong affinity for jazz chords, soulful vocals, elusive beats, and raw emotion.

PrintShop is an LA based collective providing a platform to artists through thoughtful visually forward IRL events on the PrintShop Soundsystem as well as multi-media VR and Livestream performances. Built on the core tenements of DIY, PrintShop looks to empower individuals through skill sharing and learning at their LA hub near Silver Lake.

Gradient appreciation post:

GRADIENT appreciation post: We want to take a moment during the afterglow of this last weekend’s campout to reflect on what was shared. We are overcome with love and appreciation for the group of radical talented friends, artists, and contributors that made last weekend possible. This campout was DIY, and it was carried by the folks that attended and those that showed up for the early planning to the final dust down sesh back in LA. We want to call out the contribution of a few key folks surrounding this project. Firstly, kindred spirits @newpalm for their shared vision, collaboration, and helping hands throughout the event. @paulsboston has encouraged us to drive forward to see what’s possible over and over again and has always added an element of organization that is most welcome and dearly needed. @theeasylove for their trust in opening up their beautiful property to our group along with the acoustical upgrades in the booth from @mobius_acoustics . @music_the_reason for bringing the absolute best sound out of our system and making us feel welcome in his neighborhood. @kesselmc@leezygram@nickgee@entirelyunmarketable@zahremaarmusic and @s_1im for jumping in to help pull this off. @corduroygarden_@michaelhollandhopkins for the sustenance and gourmet bevs. All the artists that prepared such beautiful sets and took time to trek out to the desert in support of the event:

azize
Berndt (Kajunga)
CHA CHA (Corduroy Garden)

PrintShop & New Palm bring you Gradient — a two-night campout under the big skies of Johnson Valley in California’s vast high desert. We are gathering some of our very favorite selectors from California and beyond for two days and nights of sound and dance in one of the most beautiful and private settings.

This is an intimate gathering of less than 100 attendees.

On that note, please be mindful of who you share this info with, and share it with the consideration of the experimental, inclusive, open-minded and safe environment we aim to foster.

April 14–16, 2023 approximately two hours from Los Angeles.

We strongly recommend you arrive early in the day Friday to beat rush hour and have ample daylight to set up camp before the music starts. Take Friday off work if you’re able for a better travel experience. Campers are welcome to arrive anytime during the day Friday.

Music runs late both nights and will kick off Friday at 6pm and again Saturday at noon. Sunday is for rest, packing up and heading home safely.

PrintShop and New Palm collab for another intimate, outdoor experience, once again prompting the return of London’s Jay Duncan and VPN Radio’s Max Ellington. This time, they go a bit later, adding Into the Woods’ (and Black Lodge) resident Force Placement, Ryeland Allison and Paul Boston. Expect warm, undulating house grooves, tinged with breaks, trance and shuffling percussion.
